H2X Global Forges Alliance With Swedish City Gothenburg

Australia’s leading hydrogen fuel cell vehicle manufacturer H2X Global has inked an agreement with one of Sweden’s major municipal waste companies to provide hydrogen-powered trucks and light vehicles.

Renova, owned by ten municipalities across Gothenburg in western Sweden, has signed a memorandum of understanding with H2X Global who will build the company five commercial vehicles:

  • One 18 tonne back loader truck.
  • One 28 tonne demountable truck .
  • Three 3.5 tonne tail lift vehicles.

The agreement creates an opportunity for H2X Global to grow its operations in Scandinavia and become a prominent producer of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the region.

Renowned for its innovative strategies in industry and technology, Sweden has stated its ambition to become the world’s first fossil-free state. To get there, carbon from the transport sector must be reduced, meaning H2X’s hydrogen vehicles will play a crucial role in helping the country achieve this goal.
